Into The Mystic: Pilgrimage to the Scottish Highlands. Yoga Retreat with Abby Tucker in April 2018.
On this journey we will explore the life cycle of food from seed to harvest, from stove to stomach. We will begin with a harvest and the transformation of crops into a beautiful healthy meal. Other highlights include a medicinal herb workshop, local wine tasting and organic vegetarian meals.
We will gather around the table to eat seasonal meals prepared with love, take in the blossoming farm around us and dive into ancient yogic and mystic teachings with Abby Tucker, one of our favorite yoga teachers in the world. Abby integrates dynamic, empowering flows with rich wisdom creating a truly enriching experience for her students.
In addition to our culinary and yogic adventure, we will enjoy hiking through the surrounding landscape and settle in for pond side meditation and relaxation as we strengthen the connection to each other and the world around us.
This retreat is ideal for guests who are interested in deepening their practice (from beginners to seasoned practitioners) and want to learn more about growing, harvesting and celebrating fresh foods. This yoga retreat in Sonoma is for all levels of yoga however guests should be physically able to help out on the farm.
Lotus Feed is all about celebrating the bounty of the Earth and all of her gifts through yoga and farm fresh cuisine. This Fall weekend with Abby Tucker on the farm is the perfect opportunity to take a minute to appreciate both the abundance of the season and immerse oneself in personal practice.

Our ocean view ridge-tops overlook our colorful and hidden creek beds; The Lotus Feed Retreat Center is blessed with a full palette of wonder.
Start your day with a yoga or a pond side meditation and spend your day meandering through our medicinal herb gardens. Hike our trails through fern groves and cool off with a dip in the fresh water springs. Cultivate a relationship with the earth and lend a hand in the organic gardens harvesting the fruits and labor of the land to feast for our Farm To Table Communal Feast. End your day with a sunset yoga practice under the passion flower canopy and the rest of you evening can be spent star gazing by the fire pit.
We have thoughtfully crafted the native land into a perfect classroom to dive into wild edibles and medicinals. Our cultivated gardens and structures present learning experiences in permaculture and the peace and energy of the land provide a backdrop for transformation, learning and evolution. Farm to table meals will be harvested from our stunning circle garden and prepared in our outdoor pizza oven imported from Italy.

CONNECT TO THE SACRED
What is a pilgrimage? A pilgrimage is a devotional journey, an inner quest to an outer sacred space, a dedicated time following the path of the Soul. It is beyond, even, the heart-space of a retreat and in far-away land from vacation. Beyond all things, a pilgrimage is a journey into the mystical realms that lie in the relationship between a sacred landscape or monument and the cauldron of the heart.
A sacred journey begins in the moment of your outward commitment. From the moment you registered for our time together in August, the gifts of the pilgrimage begin to work on you. The journey itself is considered the mid-way point. Soften and begin to allow yourself to begin connecting to Scotland, once known as Alba, which means Light. Scotland is considered by many to be an anchor of crystalline light and a spiritual seat of the planet. The land is mysterious and rugged, ethereal and solid, the land of the warrior Picts and the realm of the Fae (faeries).
